From Bitter to Better:
Enhancing GLP-1 with Herbal Remedies for Improved Metabolic Health

The growing focus on GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) drugs, particularly in the context of treating metabolic diseases like type 2 diabetes and obesity, is a significant shift in the medical landscape. GLP-1, a hormone that plays a crucial role in regulating blood sugar, appetite and satiety, has long been a target for researchers seeking to improve metabolic health.

Alongside such discoveries, there is new understanding of the role that bitter herbs and the plant chemical berberine can play in maintaining a healthy metabolism. Much of this is centered around the revelation that bitter herbs have been found clinically to boost our natural production of GLP-1.

In this webinar with Kerry Bone, you will learn about:

  • How our understanding of the bitter taste response and its physiological and pathophysiological implications has advanced significantly over the past two decades
  • The 25 human bitter taste receptors (TAS2Rs) that extend far beyond the taste buds of the tongue.
  • The groundbreaking discovery that bitter receptors are not just present throughout the entire digestive tract, but also elsewhere in the body, with key roles in respiratory and immune health
  • The extensive clinical evidence that supports bitter herbs and berberine for boosting GLP-1 and normalizing metabolism
  • The critical research on the individual variability of the bitter taste sensation and its health implications, alongside a novel clinical approach to address these variations.

This webinar is essential for clinicians seeking to understand the latest findings on bitter herbs and berberine and unlock their full therapeutic potential for patient care
